Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support and coordinate legal unit of the organization called AIN ALAP to deal the rights violation issues of the Gender Diverse Population (GDP) and provide legal support through in person consultation and helpline line service
∎ Documentation of Human Rights Violation cases of gender diverse community and refer them to National Human Rights Commission and other legal support such as consulting with Panel lawyer, DLAC Office and other concerned organizations.
∎ Prepare referral directory of legal support providing organizations to coordinate Ain-Alap unit of Bandhu
∎ Analyze the gender-based violence (GBV) cases and generate report with recommendation for further steps
∎ Assist the victims of GBV for the required legal support coordinating with Bandhu legal unit/ Ain-Alap
∎ Support and prepare presentation, event report, organizing meeting/ seminar communicating concern stakeholders and relevant bodies.
∎ Documentation of case facts, follow-up and mediation details by month with research on needs and violation of human rights of Gender Diverse Population.
∎ Maintain regular record keeping of rights violations and produce monthly and quarterly report focusing on case studies and case investigations
∎ Provide legal support and counseling to the community members as and when required
∎ Regular coordination and communication with community paralegal and watchdogs to ensure legal support for the GDP
∎ Solidarity visit to victim’s community members if any incidence happened and produce fact finding reports
∎ Prepare case spotlight in every month following the case merit, Ain-Alap service and success by the service of Ain-Alap
∎ Ensuring effective communication among Bandhu, related to human rights bodies as well as organizations, feminist organizations, National legal AID service providing organizations, district Legal Aid committee to host lobby meeting as and when required.
∎ Contribute to develop policy formulation and advocacy related strategies and support the project focal with this.
∎ Assist with the organizational social media and website contents about project achievements and other visible events.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Good knowledge in the utilization of Microsoft office programs
∎ At least 2-3 years post qualification experience in the same field.
∎ Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population
∎ Ability to exercise flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
∎ Ability to work within a team
∎ Demonstrate good report writing skills both in English and Bangla
∎ Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
∎ Demonstrate organization and project management skills
∎ Ability to plan, evaluate and meet deadlines.
Salary: Tk. 40432 (Monthly)
