∎ Diploma in Civil Engineering from any recognised University/ Institutute. Member of IDEB (Institute of diploma Engineers Bangladesh) will be preferred
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Overseeing the construction work on the site, ensuring that the work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the design and construction plans. And also manage the construction project from inception to completion, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client programme by ensuring required quality of work.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Initiate the project and prepare the project plan
∎ Ensure to mobilize all necessary equipment, materials and resources to the site by maintain all the official formalities
∎ Confirm to obtain all necessary approvals before starting the construction work
∎ Engagement of expert and quality contractors, labors for implementation of the work
∎ Estimation and scheduling the work and co-ordination with the local authority
∎ Collection of drawing and documents to initiate the project
∎ Oversee the site preparation work, including excavation, grading, and foundation preparation
∎ Ensure that the site is prepared in compliance with the design and construction plans
∎ Study, check and verify the drawings and convey and clarify the drawings to the contractors
∎ Supervise and oversee the construction work on the site and track the progress
∎ Ensure that the construction work is carried out in compliance with the design and construction plans by following all safety procedures and protocols on the site
∎ Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that the construction work meets the required quality standards
∎ Conduct materials and work test to ensure the quality of work and measuring the completed work and record keeping
∎ Collection and receiving the required materials, ensuring proper usages and record keeping, maintain the materials store and site security
∎ Identifying and mitigating the risk for smooth operation of the construction work
∎ Prepare, check, verify and process the payment invoices
∎ Ensure that all required documentation, including progress reports, quality control checks, and safety records, is completed accurately and on time and ensure that all documentation is maintained for future reference
∎ Maintain all kind of record of usages of materials, engagement of daily labors, expenses, attendance etc.
∎ Coordinate with the Project Supervisor, design unit and other stakeholder for successful completion of the project and update the status regularly to the management
∎ Communication, liaison and coordination with the local managements
∎ Communicate with the contractors and other stakeholder to distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions. Include any accepted alternates or addendums with documents
∎ Monitor and report the construction progress to the supervisors regularly and ensure that any delays or issues or incidents are reported to the management immediately
∎ Oversee the final construction work, including cleanup and final inspections and ensure that all required documentation is completed accurately and on time
∎ Close all the measurements, payments and financial report timely
∎ Prepare the as-built drawing on the basis of actual work done and hand over the completed project to the Project concerned authority.

∎ Good communication and writing skills
∎ Ability to work in complex projects
∎ Time Management
∎ Methods and the tools involved in the construction work
∎ Manage contractors and resources
∎ AutoCAD with sound knowledge of 2D modeling
∎ Able to operate Microsoft office tools such as word excel and internet browsing
Salary: Negotiable
