Responsibilities & Context:

We are a diversified business group engaged in international commodity trading, shipping, logistics, imports, tender business, and commercial operations in Bangladesh and overseas. We are looking for dynamic and responsible Accounts Officers with practical experience in taxation, VAT, audit support, banking, and commercial accounting functions.

The selected candidates will work closely with management, auditors, banks, and commercial teams to ensure proper financial compliance, reporting, and operational support across the group companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, and financial records accurately.

• Handle Income Tax, VAT, TDS, AIT, and related compliance matters.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns, tax schedules, Mushak forms, and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

• Assist during statutory audit, tax assessment, VAT audit, and bank audit processes.

• Maintain proper documentation for import, export, LC, shipping, and commercial transactions.

• Prepare bank reconciliation, supplier/customer reconciliation, and financial schedules.

• Support LC opening, retirement, commercial documentation, and payment follow-up with banks.

• Assist in preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.

• Ensure proper filing and archiving of commercial and financial documents.

• Coordinate with internal departments for operational and accounting support.

• Perform any other finance/accounts-related duties assigned by management.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in trading, shipping, import/export, manufacturing, logistics, or commercial companies preferred.

• Practical knowledge of VAT online system, Income Tax, company audit, and banking procedures.

• Familiarity with LC documentation and import-related accounting will be an advantage.

• Candidates having experience in CA firms or audit firms are encouraged to apply.
