∎ TOYMU one of the leading Non Government Organization(NGO) in Bandarban Hill District is currently implementing different development projects supported by donors in areas of food security, livelihoods,
∎ Health and Nutrition`s ,Climate Changes, Social development & poverty reduction, Education and Human
∎ Rights sector. The organization is currently seeking to recruit a Accountant for its head office in Bandarban Hill District. Applications are hereby invited to fulfill the following position for TOYMU.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of TOYMU, the incumbent shall perform the following services.
∎ Full compliance with Toymu rules and regulations of financial processes, financial records and reports and audit follow up; support in implementation of the effective internal control framework.
∎ Formulate budgets for various meetings and workshops and other field activities, if necessary.
∎ Scrutinizing various financial reports from different sources and reports on any observation.
∎ Review all the bills for payment and prepare vouchers for settlement
∎ Prepare and consolidate financial reports and process different advance request
∎ Prepare cheques and maintain various registers like cheque, safe management, and petty cash count, advance record and advance settlement record etc.
∎ Verify various vendors and staff claims and others claims and ensure accuracy & timely disbursement, if necessary.
∎ Assist in the processing of payments to vendors for goods and services.
∎ Proper maintenance of manual and Tally software filling systems
∎ Draft all correspondence related to accounting & financial matter
∎ Handling of partners financial reports, bill-vouchers , if necessary
∎ Prepare cash book, ledger book, bank statements, bank reconciliations
∎ Prepare monthly bill-vouchers and update related documents.
∎ Synthesis of lessons learnt and best practices in Finance
∎ Sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
∎ Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
∎ FUNCTIONS/ KEY RESULTS EXPECTED
∎ Smooth functioning of the day to day finance related works
∎ Reduce the cycle time to complete the requests from the office personnel
∎ Make sure that all the transactions/processes are carried out as per TOYMU's financial rules and regulations
∎ Ensure to that all the payments are processed timely manner.
∎ Build strong working relationships with all the partners and related stakeholders.
∎ Process all the transactions through Toymu Financial Management Policy.
∎ MEASURABLE OUTPUTS AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
∎ Standard operating procedures are implemented
∎ Well maintained financial records and monitoring systems to record and reconcile expenditures, balances, payments, statements and other data for day-to-day transactions and reports
∎ Financial report produced and submitted
∎ Time required for processing of disbursements
∎ Reduce the cycle time in payment processing
∎ Zero audit observations
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 (three) years of work experience in handling and managing/reporting/monitoring financial matters.
∎ Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
∎ Experience in working with local &national NGO's is desirable.
∎ The candidate must have report writing skills in English.
∎ Knowledge and skills in operating MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel) is essential.
