The successful candidate must have:

• In-depth knowledge of various washing techniques used in the sweater garment industry.
• The ability to work closely with the design, production, and quality control teams to ensure the best results for buyers.
• The capacity to manage high-pressure situations involving large-scale production while maintaining strict quality standards.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and finding new ways to optimize the washing process for efficiency and quality.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and management effectively.

Responsibilities & Context:

• Manage the washing process: Oversee and monitor all washing processes (e.g., enzyme wash, stone wash, bleach wash) to ensure adherence to quality and production standards.
• Sample development: Collaborate with the production and R&D teams to develop wash samples as per buyer specifications and ensure approval of wash types.
• Quality control: Inspect garments post-wash to ensure they meet the quality and safety standards required by clients, addressing any defects or issues as needed.
• Technical supervision: Provide technical expertise and guidance to the washing unit, troubleshoot washing-related issues, and optimize processes to improve productivity.
• Team management: Supervise washing unit staff, ensuring smooth workflow, proper machine handling, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain machinery: Monitor the functionality of washing machines, report maintenance needs, and ensure all equipment is operating efficiently.
• Compliance: Ensure the washing unit complies with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards related to garment washing.
• Reporting: Keep detailed records of washing processes, machine performance, and output quality, reporting to the production management team.
