1–5 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel, hospital, cafeteria, club, or institutional food service operation.
Fresh candidates with relevant hospitality training may also be considered.
Responsibilities & Context:
The Waiter/Senior Waiter is responsible for providing professional, courteous, hygienic, and efficient food and beverage service to patients' attendants, doctors, employees, visitors, VIP guests, and other customers within the hospital's designated food and beverage outlets.
Maintain a high level of hygiene, sanitation, and professionalism appropriate to a healthcare environment.
Coordinate with the kitchen and concerned departments for special food requirements, where applicable.
Ensure that food intended for patients, attendants, doctors, or staff is served to the correct location/person and within the required timeframe, as per established procedures.
Follow all instructions regarding special diets, food restrictions, allergies, and patient-related food requirements without making independent dietary decisions.
Immediately communicate any food-related complaint, allergy concern, incorrect order, or service issue to the Supervisor.
Maintain appropriate behavior and noise levels in hospital premises, particularly near patient-care areas.
Assist the F&B Supervisor in ensuring smooth and timely service.
Ensure service equipment, tables, trays, crockery, cutlery, and other items are clean and sanitized before use.
Report any damaged, contaminated, expired, or improperly stored food/service items to the Supervisor.
Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of food waste and other waste materials.
