About the Position

We are looking for a professional, well-groomed, and experienced Waiter to join our Food & Beverage Service Team.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of restaurant service standards, excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to provide a refined and memorable dining experience to our guests.

As a Waiter, you will be responsible not only for serving guests but also for maintaining service quality, supporting junior team members, coordinating with the kitchen and bar, and ensuring smooth operation of your assigned section.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and professionally attend to guests upon arrival.

• Present menus and provide accurate information about food, beverages, cocktails, wines, and other offerings.

• Take guest orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.

• Provide professional table service according to premium hospitality standards.

• Recommend food and beverage items based on guest preferences.

• Have a good understanding of menu ingredients, preparation methods, portion sizes, and allergens.

• Maintain proper sequence of service from greeting to payment and farewell.

• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, organized, and ready for service.

• Monitor assigned tables regularly and respond promptly to guest requests.

• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate serious issues to the Restaurant/Bar Manager.

• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, cashier, and other service staff to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist in maintaining appropriate service timing during busy periods.

• Ensure all bills and orders are accurate before presenting them to guests.

• Follow proper cash-handling and payment procedures when required.

• Support opening, closing, and daily restaurant setup procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the service area.

• Assist in training and guiding Junior Waiters and newly recruited service staff.

• Monitor the performance and service standards of assigned team members.

• Follow all company policies, food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace procedures.

• Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate proper hospitality etiquette at all times.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel, club, or fine-dining environment.

• Experience in a premium or high-volume establishment will be an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service.

• Good understanding of table setting and service etiquette.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate in Bangla and basic-to-good English.

• Customer-oriented and service-minded personality.

• Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.

• Strong teamwork and coordination skills.

• Ability to guide and supervise junior service staff.

• Honest, punctual, responsible, and disciplined.

• Smart, confident, and well-groomed appearance.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of POS systems.

• Basic knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and other beverages.

• Knowledge of upselling and suggestive selling techniques.

• Experience handling VIP and corporate guests.

• Knowledge of food allergies and basic food safety practices.

• Previous experience in a premium bar or lounge environment.
