∎ Job Summary:
∎ In Bangladesh, the USAID has mobilized support the country`s COVID-19 readiness and response efforts. USAID has engaged the services of the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) to implement risk awareness communication and outreach. Based on the demands of the current situation, CCP plans to focus risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) interventions on frontline healthcare professionals (for example, those accessed through government health structure), private and public hospital professionals (for example, those accessed through professional medical bodies), and the general public to promote mitigation measures by partnering with key associations, such as journalists, medical associations, and influencers.
∎ As a member of the CCP program team, the Video Editor will join CCP`s Breakthrough ACTION project that supports the Government of Bangladesh`s COVID-19 response. The Video Editor will collaborate with Transmedia team to conceptualize, develop, and produce videos for social media and media channels. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong production skills.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
∎ Collaborate with Transmedia team to understand the communication goals, audiences, and channels for the videos and help to shape the storylines, messaging, style, and tone accordingly
∎ Do post-production for videos including text, music track, off-line editing, track lay and ADR sessions
∎ Deliver the products - e.g., enter-educate short video, training package video - in the formats needed for dissemination
∎ Work with the Transmedia team to ensure that robust schedules are created, communicated, and followed to ensure that the videos are delivered to Transmedia team on time
∎ Ensure that all production and posting/broadcasting are compliant with copyright/legal laws
∎ Collaborate with the DGHS to develop briefs for the videos and finalize AV materials with them
∎ Other duties may be assigned by supervisor and Country Director.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years relevant work experience for development/mass media production/social media production/ transmedia content development.
∎ Experience working in INGO environment is preferred.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Development Agency, INGO, Charity
∎ Technical qualifications or specialized certifications:
∎ Working experience on transmedia content development required
∎ Experience in the assessment and analysis of social and behavior change communication materials for health
∎ Strong written and spoken communication in Bangla
∎ Experience in coordination with a range of contributors and stakeholders
∎ Must have video editing experience with current editing software package suits such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, sound editing software, etc., plus excellent T skills
∎ Have smooth editing skills and ability to integrate transitions, visual effects, sound effects
∎ Previous working experience under USAID, UNICEF funded projects will be an added advantage
∎ Have a good understanding of the health context in Bangladesh
∎ Willing to work with tight deadlines and have perception of value for money
∎ Must be creative and artistic
∎ Must be committed to health and safety
∎ Must be willing to work occasional weekends/evenings where required
∎ Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:
∎ Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English and Bangla. Proficient in Microsoft Office, editing software.
∎ Language Skills Fluency in English and Bangla is required.
