Job Context:
∎ LEDARS is NGO Affairs Bureau affiliated NGO working in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1998. The southwest coastal region is one of the climate vulnerable area of the country and people are suffering so much. In this context, LEDARS is implementing a project entitled `Strengthening Livelihood Security of Climate Change Vulnerable People` in Sundarbans region with financial support of German based donor agency. LEDARS is going to hire a Training Officer. It is the senior level position and will be responsible to conduct the training activities. She/he will lead the training cell of LEDARS. Following are the major job requirements of this post.
∎ Duration: Long term ongoing project.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop periodic training plan/training calendar and conduct activities according to the plan,
∎ Assess the training needs of staff members and beneficiaries considering the goal and objectives of project,
∎ Development of training module based on training need assessment and hand out and report of the training,
∎ Facilitate the training session for beneficiaries, different stakeholders and project staff,
∎ Find out and hire consultant or training facilitator from NGO sector and Government department and engage then to facilitate the training,
∎ Prepare the training venue according to the needs of the training course,
∎ Develop TOR or agreement to hire resource person from outside,
∎ Prepare the training evaluation tools and evaluate the training and ensure its proper documentation,
∎ Use different training game and tools to make concentration of the participants,
∎ Provide assistance to other staff/project is they need,
∎ Prepare different need base power point presentation to conduct training session,
∎ Ensure effective utilization of resource for the purposes of training,
∎ Support the knowledge management section to articulate the learning documents for smooth dissemination,
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years working experience as a Trainer or similar post in reputed NGO.
∎ Excellent facilitation and documentation skill,
∎ Sound computer skill on MS Office(Word, Power Point, Excel) internet operation
∎ Strong knowledge and experience on costal livelihood and impact of climate change in coastal area
∎ Strong knowledge and skill in climate change, livelihood, different trades, etc.
∎ Committed to work in remote coastal,
∎ Able to drive motor bikes having valid driving license,
∎ Ability to work in a team as a team member
Salary: Tk. 25830 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Yearly increment, festival bonus and provident funds.
