Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: The Therapist`s purpose is to provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for students with disabilities, aiming to reduce their learning challenges. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and offering support to parents/caregivers, the role ensures a holistic approach to the child`s development and well-being. By maintaining accurate records and staying informed about best practices, the job aims to create a safe environment and continually improve the quality of care provided, ultimately contributing to the children`s improved physical and emotional well-being.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct thorough assessments of students with disabilities, considering their medical history, physical capabilities, and specific challenges, to determine their individual needs and treatment goals.
∎ Design and implement personalized therapy treatment plans based on assessment findings, focusing on enhancing motor skills, coordination, balance, and functional abilities.
∎ Deliver one-on-one or group therapy sessions using age-appropriate and engaging activities to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and range of motion in children with disabilities.
∎ Regularly evaluate and document the progress of each student throughout the therapy process, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
∎ Keep accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any other relevant information required for the child's case management.
∎ Ensure a safe and nurturing environment during therapy sessions, promoting the physical and emotional well-being of each child.
∎ Developing plan for guidance and support to parents/guardians providing them with exercises and techniques to continue therapeutic activities at home.
∎ Developing plan for capacity building of NDD teachers and caregivers to ensure a comprehensive approach to the student's development and well-being.
∎ Maintain strong network and liaisons with GO, NGO organisations working for the support of persons with disabilities in order to refer students or persons with disabilities to professional practitioners or health-care centre specialised in students' need specific treatment.
∎ Provide support to all NDD centres across the country through regular communication and frequent visits.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Occupational therapy, physical therapy.
∎ Skills in information technology and computer programming are essential (proficient in MS Office especially in Excel, Word & PowerPoint, etc.)
∎ Knowledge and understanding of the concepts of Neuro-Developmental Disabilities.
∎ Understanding of training concepts.
∎ The keen mindset to learn and grow, open to innovation and creativity.
∎ Minimum 3 years of working experience in Occupational Therapy.
