Responsibilities & Context:
Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults in crane systems.
Maintain and repair crane components, including motors, gearboxes, brakes, wire ropes, spreaders, limit switches, and sensors.
Assist in the maintenance and servicing of PLC systems, VFDs, control panels, and other crane electrical systems.
Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all crane maintenance activities comply with safety standards and operational procedures.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, service logs, and spare parts inventory.
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and the operations team to ensure safe and efficient crane performance.
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during maintenance activities.
Perform other technical duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
