Responsibilities & Context:
EMCS is looking for highly analytical and motivated candidates to work as Engineering Research & Design Assistants with our professional MEP design team.
The selected candidates will work under the guidance of experienced designers and engineers, supporting ongoing MEP and Fire Safety consultancy projects through technical research, code review, calculations, documentation and design assistance.
The role will involve studying BNBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC and other applicable codes, standards and technical guidelines, identifying relevant design requirements and preparing clear technical summaries and references for the design team.
Candidates may also assist in engineering calculations, preparation/checking of technical documents, design research, comparison of systems and equipment, and coordination of information required for ongoing projects.
Strong analytical ability, creativity, technical curiosity and patience for detailed study are more important for this position than previous professional experience.
Candidates with a BUET engineering background are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants with study gaps, extended academic schedules or incomplete academic progression may also be considered based on their capability and suitability for the position.
Applicants from different engineering or relevant technical disciplines may be considered if they demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
All assignments will be performed under the supervision and review of EMCS's experienced engineering design team.
