• Hafiza (Female) is preferable

• Strong proficiency in Arabic, both speaking and reading, with accurate pronunciation (Tajweed).

• Good English skills: reading, writing, speaking, for communicating with students, colleagues, and possibly drafting materials.

• Hafiz (or Hafiza) status is highly desired (for Hifz teacher).

• Good knowledge of Qur’an meaning (Tafseer) to help students understand what they are memorizing.

• Islamic manners (adab), strong moral character, role model behavior.

• Ability to plan lessons, give assessments, and monitor learners’ progress.

• Patience, ability to manage and motivate students, especially memorization work, which requires discipline and consistency.

• Use of different teaching methods suited for memorization, repetition, revision, and recitation practice.

• Teamwork: ability to work with other teachers, supervisors, and school administration.

• Good classroom management and maintaining a respectful, Islamic environment.

• Basic IT/computer skills (for preparing materials, possibly using multimedia).

• Previous experience in a leadership role of managing the Hifzul- Quran and Arabic Department in an international or diverse educational setting will be preferred.

• At least 3 years of teaching experience in an English medium school preferred

• Strong command of spoken and written English & Arabic.

• Good classroom management and interpersonal skills

• Ability to relate Islamic teachings to students' daily lives positively and respectfully.

• Develop lesson plans that align with Islamic teachings and Cambridge curriculum standards (where applicable)

• Preparing the worksheets based on each chapter and overseeing other Arabic teachers’ worksheets and checking all the academic materials of the Arabic Department.

• Design and oversee a comprehensive curriculum for Al Quran and Arabic Language that aligns with both the school`s Islamic values and international academic standards of Cambridge Curriculum. It includes proper selection of syllabus and books and other related materials.

• Ensure effective teaching methodologies are employed, and that lesson plans meet educational objectives, Arabic and Al-Quran classes are conducted efficiently. Project work is done which is included among classroom activities.

• Develop and implement assessment tools to monitor student progress and program effectiveness.

• Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance teachers` skills, knowledge and performance.

• Conduct regular evaluations of faculty performance, offering constructive feedback and development plans.

• Foster a deep understanding and appreciation of the Quran and Arabic language among students.

• Provide academic and spiritual mentorship to students, encouraging their personal and educational growth.

• Organize events such as Quran recitation competitions, Hamd-Nath Competition and Arabic language clubs to enhance student engagement.

• Ensure departmental policies align with the school`s mission and are effectively implemented in accordance with the decisions of the Principal and Section Head.

• Manage departmental resources, including textbooks, teaching materials, and technological tools.

• Maintain accurate records of departmental activities and report to school administration as and when required.

• Maintain open lines of communication with parents regarding student progress and departmental initiatives.

• Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to enhance the department`s programs and outreach.

• Speaking as one of the key spokespeople representing the Islamic activities of the school on social media for the promotion purpose of the school.
