Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement procurement strategies that ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, equipment, and supplies.
∎ Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring quality standards are met.
∎ Monitor market trends and assess supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.
∎ Ensure compliance with Café Amazon’s procurement policies and ethical standards.
∎ Oversee the management of the warehouse, ensuring that it is organized, secure, and efficiently operated.
∎ Implement inventory management systems to track stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
∎ Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
∎ Coordinate with the operations and procurement teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.
∎ Manage the transportation and logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to all café locations.
∎ Develop and optimize logistics plans, including route planning and scheduling, to minimize costs and improve delivery efficiency.
∎ Oversee the selection and management of third-party logistics providers, ensuring they meet performance and service level agreements.
∎ Monitor the transportation of goods to ensure they arrive safely, on time, and in the required condition.
∎ Establish and manage the raw material ordering center to streamline the ordering process and ensure consistency in quality and supply.
∎ Work closely with café managers to understand their needs and ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
∎ Monitor the performance of the ordering center, implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
∎ Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement team to ensure a steady supply of raw materials.
∎ Analyse supply chain costs and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
∎ Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or service levels.
∎ Monitor budgetary performance and report variances to the Operations Manager.
∎ Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, including procurement costs, inventory levels, and logistics efficiency.
∎ Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
∎ Address any supply chain disruptions promptly and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
∎ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
∎ Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
∎ Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and logistics planning.
∎ Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
∎ Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
∎ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
∎ Proficiency in both Bengali and English.

∎ Job Overview:
∎ The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process for Café Amazon Bangladesh, ensuring the efficient procurement of materials, effective warehouse and inventory management, streamlined transportation and logistics, and the smooth operation of the raw material ordering center. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all café locations are adequately stocked with high-quality materials to meet operational demands.
