Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Procuring the right product by visiting markets, assessing existing vendors, developing new ones, negotiating favorable terms, and maintaining professional vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition.
∎ Forecasting product demand, keeping stock levels in check, and preparing delivery schedules to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time and place.
∎ Preparing comparative statements, acquiring necessary approvals, issuing purchase orders systematically, and processing supplier payments and invoices.
∎ Liaising effectively between suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
∎ Adequate knowledge of purchasing local materials.
∎ Strong attention to detail for tracking price changes, supplier updates, and sales trends accurately.
∎ Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills for managing field teams and supplier interactions.
∎ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where quick pricing decisions are essential.
∎ Understanding of item purchasing, manufacturing processes, and operational workflows.
∎ Preference given to candidates with ERP/SAP software experience.
∎ Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Lead the functional design process, facilitate design workshops, and negotiate/manage functional scope to reduce business and technical risks.
∎ Assist store department officers during period closings and promptly address any implementation issues.
∎ Analyze existing laws, regulations, policies, and processes to develop SOPs that support efficient business operations.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
