Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide support and implement strategic logistics plans to ensure timely and efficient distribution of glass products
∎ Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
∎ Coordinate with production and sales teams to align logistics activities with business objectives
∎ Manage relationships with logistics providers and negotiate contracts to secure cost-effective services.
∎ Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
∎ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
∎ Assists in process improvements to reduce lead-time and execute shipments and eliminate non-value add activities
∎ Supports efforts to resolve issues that may block the timely flow of glass products
∎ Responsible for compliance with regulations such as Good Distribution Practices
∎ Support a team of logistics professionals, including drivers, loaders, forklift operations & supply chain employees - fostering a culture of continuous improvement
∎ Akij Glass Industries Ltd., (AGIL), is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Executive for our Distribution & Logistics unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, executing and overseeing the efficient distribution of our products, ensuring timely delivery, and optimizing our logistics processes. Key Responsibilities as follow:
