Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Study the agreements with contractors, drawings, specifications, BOQ etc., and be well aware of the expectations from vendors.
∎ 2. Take charge of all construction activities as referred in the scope of works above, or as assigned by the Construction Manager/ Engineer in Charge. Keep the Construction Manager/ Engineer in charge informed and upto date on all site activities.
∎ 3. Plan weekly and daily project activities in consequence with the overall project schedule and keep the concerned personnel informed of the same.
∎ 4. Participate in site coordination meetings and coordinate with other team members.
∎ 5. Receive the GFCs (Good for Construction Drawings) and ensure proper filing and safekeeping thereof; ensure marking/removal of superseded drawings.
∎ 6. Review the GFCs well in time, highlight and get rectified anomalies where found, and ensure construction as per the up-to-date drawings coordinating between services, Civil & ID work.
∎ 7. Hold daily meetings with the concerned contractors, review their daily plans and monitor manpower / equipment deployment. Do the quality inspection during delivery of materials.
∎ 8. Supervise & Coordinate the daily works done for quality and timeliness; ensure adoption of proper work procedures by the concerned contractors.
∎ 9. Keep a keen eye on safety aspects and their proper follow-up by the concerned contractors. Bring deviations to the knowledge of Safety Officer, if specifically appointed at site; if not, perform the additional role of Safety Officer for the concerned trade also.
∎ 10. Assist the Billing Engineer, in measurements and checking of contractor's bills. In the absence of designated Billing Engineer, perform that additional role also.
∎ 11. Identify snags / defective & Non-Compliance works and ensure rectification of the same.
∎ 12. Be instrumental in the close out of the concerned areas / activities of the project and provide inputs for the closeout documentation.
∎ 13. Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions and work under pressure and handle stressful situations & meet deadlines.
∎ 14. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, strong team work attitude and ability to motivate the team members, significant communication skills, problem solving attitude, fast and multi-task execution capabilities, strong analytical mind set and imaginative problem-solving ability.
