Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Coaching, or a closely related field; a teaching qualification in Physical Education is strongly preferred.

• Strong command of spoken and written English.

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience teaching Physical Education or coaching sports in a school or structured educational setting.

• Experience in organising and managing school-level sports events, competitions, or inter-school tournaments is an advantage.

• Familiarity with a Cambridge or internationally recognised school curriculum is an advantage.

• Valid first-aid certification is preferred; training will be provided if not held.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Sports Teacher is responsible for planning and conducting structured Physical Education (PE) sessions and sports activities for assigned student groups at Al Hasanain. The role focuses on developing students’ physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and healthy lifestyle habits within an Islamic educational environment. The instructor is also expected to contribute to sports programmes, student engagement activities, and the overall development of a positive, active, and disciplined campus culture.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct structured and age-appropriate Physical Education and sports sessions for students.

• Develop students’ physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship through various sports and physical activities.

• Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment during all sports sessions and activities.

• Assist in organizing sports events, tournaments, competitions, and other co-curricular activities of the institute.

• Identify and encourage students with sporting talent and potential.

• Monitor student participation, behaviour, and physical development during activities.

• Ensure proper use, safety, storage, and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.

• Maintain attendance, participation records, and other required activity-related documentation.

• Communicate professionally with students, colleagues, guardians, and management where necessary.

• Uphold the institute’s policies, professional standards, safeguarding responsibilities, and Islamic values at all times.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the management in support of the institute’s academic and student development programmes.
