Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Physiotherapy/ Occupational therapy/ Speech & Language Therapy from any renowned university.
∎ Minimum 2 first division/Class till Bachelor level. No 3rd division/class will be considered.
∎ Completion of 4 years Bachelor degree with 1 year compulsory internship;
∎ Membership with respective professional Association/Society is preferable;
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Disabled Rehabilitation & Research Association (DRRA) is a non-government, voluntary development organization in Bangladesh working for the destitute and person with disabilities since 1996.
∎ Speech & Language Therapist will work as a member of the Technical Team for E-Health of EHD project & reporting to Disability Inclusion & Capacity building Manager. She/he will support to ensure advance level health and rehabilitation service through E-Health in collaboration with National level specialized hospital. They also will be responsible for design and rollout of the online based capacity building for health care providers and project staffs on Disability Inclusion and Rehabilitation.
∎ Job Nature: Project Contract.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support to ensure quality Rehabilitation services of the targeted persons with disabilities through online consultation and capacity building;
∎ Guide and support to capacity development of project staffs on primary assessment , Treatment plan, implementation and evaluation of persons with disabilities
∎ Liaison with inter- professionals team/ association/Specialized Hospital/ disability organization to establish and functioning referral mechanism;
∎ Develop rehabilitation program plan to help for rebuild lost skills and restore lost confidence;
∎ Write reports and attending multidisciplinary case meetings to plan and review ongoing treatment;
∎ Guide team to organize support and rehabilitation groups for care givers and children with disabilities and children with disabilities at risk;
∎ Keep close coordination with the Telenor and other implementing partners for introducing the disability inclusive health technology;
∎ Guide and supervise field staffs for better improvement of persons with disabilities
∎ Advise appropriate Mobility Aid/Assistive device with orientation to children with disabilities ;
∎ Referral mapping and referral service to persons/children with disabilities
∎ Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients;
∎ Legally responsible and accountable; manage clinical risk; be caring, compassionate and professional at all times;
∎ Contribute to wider organizational goals within local, regional and national level stakeholder;
∎ Performing any other duties and responsibilities as per the directives of the line Manager;
∎ Preparation of monthly, quarterly, yearly report of project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in the field of Rehabilitation where Clinical experience relevant to children and persons with disabilities is preferable with any National/International organization.
∎ Previous experience in Multi- disciplinary Team preferable;
∎ Understanding on Medical, Social & Rights model for persons with disability Rehabilitation is preferable;
∎ Basic understanding on Telemedicine /E-health/Digital health are preferable;
∎ Good computer skills is preferable
∎ Candidates need to be highly motivated and committed to DRRA vision, mission, and long term development work to significantly improve the lives of the most vulnerable and marginalized persons with disabilities. Candidates must be capable of displaying great learning agility, support and encouragement of knowledge sharing across Project/ projects, to the ultimate benefit of all of DRRA's mission wide initiatives.
Salary: Tk. 55000 - 65000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Monthly gross salary plus other admissible benefits as are per org. policy.
∎ Salary is may be negotiable for highly deserving candidates.
