Responsibilities & Context:

1. Student Support & Intervention

● Identify and support students with additional learning needs in collaboration with subject teachers.

● Deliver targeted interventions (1:1 and small group) to support literacy, numeracy, and study skills.

● Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing independence in learning.

● Monitor student progress against agreed targets and adapt support accordingly.

2. Classroom Collaboration

● Work alongside subject teachers to support differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.

● Assist in implementing support plans (e.g., IEPs or provision maps) within lessons.

● Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school expectations.

● Support the use of ICT and other tools to enhance access to learning.

3. Assessment & Reporting

● Maintain clear and accurate records of support, progress, and interventions.

● Contribute to reporting cycles with relevant SEND information and updates.

● Support the identification of students requiring additional support, including internal assessments and teacher referrals.

4. Communication

● Liaise regularly with teachers regarding student progress and strategies.

● Communicate with parents when required, under the guidance of the leadership team.

● Work collaboratively with the wider SEND team.

5. School Contribution

● Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions.

● Contribute to the inclusive ethos and values of the school.

● Follow all school policies, particularly those related to safeguarding, confidentiality, and student welfare.

● Participate in performance management and professional development processes.

This position is a school-based SEND Teacher focused on direct student support and classroom collaboration, rather than a specialist leadership ordiagnostic role. It works under the guidance of the school leadership and SEND Lead.

During probation: Consolidated salary of BDT 37,000–48,000, based on qualification and experience

Upon confirmation (post-probation): Gross salary of BDT 46,000–60,000 plus Provident Fund (PF) benefits, subject to performance.
