Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the potential environmental effects of gas pipeline projects, including air and water quality, habitat disruption, and greenhouse gas emissions.
∎ Developing strategies and measures to reduce the carbon footprint of gas pipeline operations, such as implementing technologies to minimize methane leaks and emissions.
∎ Conducting in-depth technical analysis of the existing gas infrastructure, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
∎ Estimating future gas demand based on economic and population growth, industrial trends, and energy consumption patterns.
∎ Evaluating and recommending appropriate pipeline materials, technology, and equipment for optimal performance.
∎ Ensuring that the pipeline network adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements, including permits and environmental impact assessments
∎ Identifying potential risks, assessing the environmental impact of the pipeline network and developing strategies to optimize.
∎ Ensuring that the pipeline network aligns with international best practices code and standards without compromising the quality.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A Master's degree (MSc, MA, or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Environmental Policy, Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Social or Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
∎ Minimum 20 years of professional experience related to oil and gas sector projects or in projects of similar nature. (Must)*
∎ All the Certificates and project experience letter/certificates must be present.*
