Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Plan and execute internal audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
∎ Identify risks, irregularities, and areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
∎ Conduct periodic reviews of financial transactions, property records, and operational processes.
∎ Ensure compliance with local, state, and national laws, particularly those related to land acquisition and sales.
∎ Stay updated on relevant regulations and ensure the company’s policies are in alignment.
∎ Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies as required.
∎ Develop, implement, and maintain internal control systems, policies, and procedures.
∎ Provide guidance to teams on adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
∎ Regularly review and update compliance protocols to adapt to legal or market changes.
∎ Identify potential risks to the company’s operations and reputation.
∎ Develop risk mitigation strategies and implement preventive measures.
∎ Monitor ongoing projects and transactions to ensure adherence to risk controls.
∎ Provide ongoing support and advice to internal departments regarding compliance matters.
∎ Prepare detailed audit reports and compliance summaries for senior management.
∎ Maintain accurate and organized records of audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
