Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Understanding how to read and translate the information found within PLC / DCS code, Schematic wiring, Ladder and P&ID process diagrams (Siemens S 7 1500 PLC).
∎ Experienced in Process Automation of manufacturing plants and factories.
∎ Lead a team of process automation experts and train them accordingly to lead situations.
∎ Understanding PLC, HMI, VFD’s , Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation and industrial control systems
∎ Conduct programming techniques and configurations for machine automation
∎ Installing electrical components and wiring systems and after installing equipment, tests to ensure all devices are working properly and safely.
∎ Implement knowledge by applying safe electrical work practices including LOTO.
∎ Observing and testing the operation of systems and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters, process meters, network analyzers and other testing devices.
∎ Providing effective advanced trouble shooting support, following best practices for safety and fault isolation.
∎ Demonstrates equipment functions and features to machine operators in an effective communication way.
∎ Performing troubleshooting and repairing or modifying with minimal manufactures specifications and documentation.
∎ Executing the maintenance work schedule as provided by direct supervisor.
∎ Continuously maintaining proficiency in Automation and controls systems.
∎ Gaining complete knowledge of plant's processes and packaging systems.15. Making recommendations for system improvements.
∎ Possessing an understanding of calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level and composition, along with an understanding of process controls and troubleshooting.
∎ Job Context:
∎ This job role plays a pivotal role in leading a team of process automation experts in optimizing and maintaining manufacturing plant systems, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This includes reading and translating technical diagrams, programming and configuring automation equipment, installing and testing electrical systems, and providing advanced troubleshooting and system improvement recommendations.
