∎ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
∎ Proven experience in electrical engineering roles with a focus on power plants, substations, and related infrastructure.
∎ In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and industry standards.
∎ Proficiency in engineering software tools for design and analysis.
∎ Strong project management and leadership skills.
∎ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
∎ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop detailed engineering designs for electrical systems in power plants, substations, RMUs, GIS, switchgear, LT & HT panels, transformers, and transmission and distribution lines.
∎ Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
∎ Manage and coordinate electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
∎ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall project requirements.
∎ Evaluate, select, and specify electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, RMUs, GIS, and other components.
∎ Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
∎ Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
∎ Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
∎ Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
∎ Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and recommend improvements for enhanced reliability.
∎ Enforce and uphold safety protocols and standards in all electrical engineering activities.
∎ Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing electrical systems.
∎ Maintain comprehensive documentation, including drawings, manuals, and reports.
∎ Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and optimization in electrical systems.
∎ Take a lead role in troubleshooting and resolving electrical emergencies.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil and mechanical engineers, to achieve integrated project goals.
