∎ Knowledge about VAT Form & VAT Register.
∎ Knowledge about Bangladesh VAT & Tax Law.
∎ Must have knowledge in computerized accounting system
∎ At least 05 years relevant work experience is required.
∎ Solid Experience in handling VAT & TAX issues
∎ Have experience in handling external audits.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Must have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
∎ The incumbent must have a mindset to work in a team.
∎ Must be able to carry out multi-tasking activities and have a mindset to work under pressure.
∎ Familiar with Mushak-6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.6, 6.10, 9.1.
∎ Knowledge about VAT Form & VAT Register.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assisting in preparation and Submission of monthly VAT return (Mushak-9.1).
∎ Correspond with VAT & Tax Authority
∎ Maintaining regular communication with inter-department within IWM
∎ Assist to prepare VDS/TDS challan & deposit to Govt. exchequer.
∎ Maintaining proper documentation as per company policy.
∎ Updated knowledge of VAT & SD Act 2012 & Rule 2016 & also keeping this record in NBR approved VAT software and own MS Excel.
∎ Maintaining proper documentation of VAT, TAX and other documents.
∎ Preparing income tax computation and return (corporate and individual).
∎ Preparing withholding income tax returns and other various tax filings.
∎ Preparing letters / applications in response to the queries raised by the tax authorities.
∎ Maintaining liaison with the various levels of the tax authorities to assist in tax assessments, drafting appeal orders etc.
∎ Maintaining liaison with the clients to collect required documents in relation to submission to the tax office.
∎ Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) is an independent Trust established by the Govt. of the People's Republic of Bangladesh providing specialist services to the Government, national and international agencies in the field of water modelling, computational hydraulics and allied sciences. ∎ Job Responsibilities
