∎ You`re around 2+ years of experience as a Ruby on Rails Back End Engineer, preferably developing web applications working at scale, using MySQL/PostgreSQL relational databases and Redis (or any other noSQL databases). You are eager to keep learning and continuously improving and delivering quality tested and highly maintainable, readable and well structured (good architecture) code.
∎ You take advantage of our Engineering Culture and keep improving it with significant input to the currently used processes (continuous testing and deployment, and continuous improvement in general). You will come from a culture of ownership of quality as well as code, and you will consider writing unit tests and automated tests are part of your core skill set.
∎ You document uncommon decisions taken within your code, you review other`s code with an `Hawk eye` and a cooperative spirit that helps others grow from those reviews. You can also engage in higher-level discussions on product concepts, as well as on code quality and scalable engineering.
∎ You`ll be at the top of the list if you have had a strong experience with gems such as Haml, Sidekiq (or any other equivalent), automated RSpec unit and integration tests in a continuous testing setup and GraphQL, as well as knowing when to use the PKCE authentication flow, used services such as Customer.io or Stripe in a SCRUM/Kanban way and deployed using Docker.
∎ As a candidate you should be able to show and discuss some projects you have worked on recently, showing a deep understanding of the customer as well as technical prowess. Any experience with React, React Native, AWS (S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.) and Serverless as well as an interest in fintech is a strong bonus!
Job Responsibilities:
∎ You will join our remote Backend team and work with different stakeholders across the company including the Product, Technology, Sales and Investment teams.
∎ We will expect you to play an important role in helping your team be as effective as possible. We want you to be one of the leading voices for the technology decisions within the team, as well as developing our tech ecosystem across Seedrs.
∎ Our engineering teams own the entire product development lifecycle from idea inception and development, through to analysing success. So, expect to spend most of your time writing code. Additionally, around 25% of your time will be: architecture planning, talking to stakeholders and analysing your data metrics for success.
Additional Requirements:
∎ We have a multi stage interview process
∎ 30 minute screening chat with Seedrs Bangladesh Operations Manager and Local Team Lead
∎ Engineering exercise and repository creation to be completed at home and discussed at technical interview.
∎ 1.5 hour technical interview with Tech Lead and Senior Engineer
∎ 45 minute final interview with Product Manager and Engineering Manager.
