Experience:

• At least 2 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science
• Bachelor of Science (Pass) in Public Health

• At least 2 years

• Only Male

• Proven 2-3 years of work experience as Safety Officer, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Professional certification on health & safety from relevant institution.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards as per Fire Service and Civil Defense, DIFE, BNBC and other relevant governing organizations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with relevant government offices and personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

• Design, implement and maintain safety policies, procedures and programs in accordance with company guidelines and comply with the local law.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices and non-compliance issues.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, ensure all employees are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
• Investigate accidents, near misses and other safety incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures and maintain accurate records.
• Serving as a liaison between management and employees regarding safety concerns, initiatives and best practices.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures for various scenarios, chemical spills or medical emergencies, first aid protocols and communication strategies.
• Coordinate drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
• Ensuring that all safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits and safety signage are properly maintained, available and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Stay up to date on the changes in safety regulations and ensure that the company remains compliant with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.
• Preparing and presenting safety reports to management.
