Additional Requirements:

• Age At least 23 years

• Certifications in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, ISO 45001) are mandatory.

• Certification on the 6-month long “Fire Safety Manager” course from Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense (BFSCD) or Alliance / Accord / Nirapon are additional advantages.

• Relevant safety certifications (Certified Fire Protection Specialist – CFPS, NFPA, etc.) are preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Rules, DIFE, Fire Prevention and Extinction Act, Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) Fire Safety local safety regulations, international standards (e.g. NFPA codes) and other best practices.

• Experience in risk assessment, safety audits, and report preparation.

• This is a station-based role, so residing after duty hours within the factory complex under company accommodation is expected.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong communication skills, especially in English.

Job Context:

Meghna PVC Ltd., a sister concern of the Meghna Group of Industries, is currently the pioneer and leading PVC & PET resin manufacturer in Bangladesh. This role will support Meghna PVC Limited (MPVCL) & Tasnim Chemical Complex Limited (TCCL) by overseeing and implementing Fire Safety, Emergency Response, Health, Safety and Environmental programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and review fire SOPs, emergency response plans, and evacuation procedures to ensure effective preparedness and safe evacuation.

• Lead the Fire Section under the HSE&S function at MPVCL and TCCL to maintain a competent and responsive fire safety team.

• Coordinate with fire authorities, emergency services, and internal teams to ensure prompt and coordinated emergency response.

• Inspect fire detection, protection, and alarm systems on a daily basis to ensure operational readiness and reliability.

• Supervise fire station operations, drills, and firefighting personnel to maintain continuous emergency preparedness.

• Ensure availability, serviceability, and proper placement of firefighting and rescue equipment to support immediate response.

• Manage procurement coordination, vendor follow-ups, and inventory control to ensure uninterrupted fire safety operations.

• Verify functionality of emergency communication, lighting, and exit systems to support effective alerting and safe evacuation.

• Maintain updated emergency contacts, evacuation routes, and assembly point information to ensure clarity during emergencies.

• Train and monitor Emergency Response Team (ERT) members through drills to enhance competency and coordination.

• Identify fire hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize fire risks.

• Ensure compliance with statutory fire safety requirements, licenses, and site regulations to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
