We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Safety Engineer (Construction) for Bashundhara Industrial Economic Zone Ltd.(BIEZL) Mirsharai, Chattogram.
∎ The Position is expected to plan, develop safety policies, programs and execute the same to minimize human and property damages by complying national and international safety standards of application.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for safety function of whole construction area of the projects.
∎ Manage safety and occupational health programs in compliance with standards and requirements to assure safety, healthy, and efficient operations.
∎ Responsible for maintaining every rules and regulation of safe environment.
∎ Designs, develops and conducts safety and environmental training programs and keep training records and injured worker data.
∎ Coordinates and follow up the whole work area and determine the presence of hazardous conditions.
∎ Analyzes hazardous conditions and assigns risk assessment codes for use by departments to prioritize and plan corrective actions.
∎ Arrange Safety Meeting and conducts safety training/briefing at construction site.
∎ Develops fire prevention program for BIEZL employees and Contractor's labors including building evacuation procedures.
∎ Responsible for, and administers, the annual fire extinguisher maintenance program and the annual sprinkler system inspection and test program.
∎ Conducts periodic inspections of BIEZL projects sites to assist managers and supervisors in environmental, health, and safety compliance.
∎ Plans and promotes safety programs and investigate accident as needed.
∎ Ensures that processes take necessary corrective action to prevent future incidents.
∎ Testing effectiveness of site emergency response plans
∎ Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The candidate should have minimum 05 years' experience in safety engineering in large industrial/ commercial construction projects.
∎ Performing a variety of routine and complex administrative, technical, and professional work of the environmental, health and safety programs.
∎ Excellent communication and interactive skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
∎ Must be proficient in any software associated with engineering.
∎ Conducting periodic environmental, health, and safety audits.
∎ Knowledge of safety statistical measurement methodology.
