Responsibilities & Context:
Design, implement, and maintain the Laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 15189, CAP (College of American Pathologists) standards, and organisational policies.
Develop, approve, and periodically review quality management procedures, technical manuals, and quality manual documentation.
Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and process evaluations; monitor compliance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Organise and lead Laboratory Management Committee meetings and ensure follow-up on quality objectives.
Conduct training needs assessments and implement an annual training programmes for laboratory staff on QMS, ISO requirements, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Manage document control systems, including review, approval, issuance, retention, and disposal of laboratory documents.
Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance through proficiency testing, key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide consultancy on quality assurance and regulatory compliance to internal and external stakeholders as required.
