  • At least 4 year experience in accounting of similar nature project.

  • Must have the mentality to work with indigenous people.

  • Knowledge on day to day accounting.

  • Knowledge on internal auditing.

  • Knowledge on government compliances.

  • Able to make efficient plan and optimum utilization of available resources.

  • Able to operate accounting related software as well as MS office.

  • Able to prepare financial reports.

  • Good analytical skill and ability to work under pressure.

  • Awareness and sensitivity regarding gender issues and child rights and respect for diversity.



Responsibilities & Context:

POLLISREE is a well reputed national NGO started its work in 1987 and working in 5 Districts of Bangladesh. This Organization is looking for a dynamic Project Accountant for the project “Strengthening the human rights and social participation of marginalized groups in Bangladesh with specific focus on women and girls (short: HOPE)” funded by the BMZ and NETZ-Bangladesh.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining day to day accounts at project office.

  • Record and post all daily transactions in the books of accounts/accounting software package through proper coding.

  • Support project team to perform procurement of materials, equipment, furniture, stationery, food and snacks as per project requirement following procurement policy.

  • Ensure all expenses made are reasonable, accurate and in compliance with cost principles procedures of the program.

  • Ensure all expenses are verified in the validity and accuracy of reliable, reasonable and approved by a designated person before payment.

  • Communication with relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure all accounting source documents are accurately preserved and all financial activities are kept in a true and fair manner.

  • Prepare FD-6, FD-4 and dealing with the NGOAB

  • Prepare monthly report on all proceeds, contributions, miscellaneous expenditures, advances and income tax, VAT deductions, voucher list as required by the Management.

  • Support internal and external auditing and verification.
