Responsibilities:
Create, modify, and develop Shima Seiki knitting programs (PGM) for various knit structures, designs, and styles.
Develop and execute 3D virtual samples using Shima Seiki SDS-ONE APEX/F to visualize garment fit, structure, appearance, and finishing.
Interpret design sheets, technical packs, specifications, and buyer requirements to develop accurate knitting programs.
Convert 3D designs into machine-ready PGM programs with appropriate gauge, stitch, tension, yarn, and other technical parameters.
Coordinate closely with the Design, Product Development, Sample, and Production teams to achieve required sample quality and development timelines.
Troubleshoot programming and technical issues and optimize knitting parameters for smooth sample and bulk production.
Review knitted samples and virtual samples and make necessary adjustments to patterns, structures, stitch settings, and program logic.
Maintain an organized library of 2D/3D designs, PGM programs, and related technical files for future reference.
Support new product development and assess technical feasibility before transferring programs to production.
Ensure all programs and 3D developments meet technical specifications, quality requirements, and production standards.
Maintain proper documentation and follow company policies, safety requirements, and instructions from the Manager, Development.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Shima Seiki knitting programming.
Minimum 2 years of experience in 3D development using Shima Seiki SDS-ONE APEX/F.
Practical experience in a sweater manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of knit structures, gauges, yarn types, machine capabilities, garment construction, and sample development.
Age: Age will be considered based on qualifications and relevant experience.
