Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Analyze and monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
∎ Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure the consistent quality of glass products.
∎ Assist the Production Manager in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring that production targets are met.
∎ Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation.
∎ Work with the Quality Control team to ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards.
∎ Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
∎ Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee regular equipment maintenance and necessary repairs.
∎ Evaluate and recommend upgrades to production equipment to improve performance and efficiency.
∎ Collect, analyze, and report on production data to track performance against key metrics.
∎ Prepare and present reports to senior management on production efficiency, quality, and any process improvements implemented.
∎ Ensure that all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
∎ Promote a culture of safety within the production team, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
∎ Provide guidance and support to the production team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
∎ Assist in the training and development of production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
∎ Monitor the usage of raw materials and other resources to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
∎ Coordinate with the supply chain department to ensure the timely availability of materials for production.
∎ Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing production processes or implementing new technologies.
∎ Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.
∎ Act as the deputy to the Production Manager, stepping in to lead the department in their absence.
∎ Assist in strategic planning for the production department, contributing to long-term operational goals.
∎ The Production Process Engineer will play a critical role in the production department, acting as the second in command. The primary responsibility is to optimize and improve the manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production. The Process Engineer will work closely with the Head of Production to oversee day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
