Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identify viable inbred‑rice seed‑production plots within budget constraints, in collaboration with JSS and TA, along with Hybrid Rice initiatives
∎ Align labor allocations to correspond with block and chatal requirements; coordinate seed dispatch to SPC for processing
∎ Secure and deploy essential equipment and materials—including spray machinery, barriers, generators, and tripods—ensuring timely availability and optimal utilization
∎ Procure high‑quality program inputs at competitive rates, benchmarked via vendor quotations proactively market surplus items (e.g., R‑line stock, retired gunny sacks) through the procurement committee to maximize returns
∎ Assess and confirm daily transport needs, coordinating requisitions across regions
∎ Oversee equitable distribution of inputs to contract growers, obtaining signatures in distribution logs and issuing official receipts
∎ Lease four to five well‑suited chatals (15,000–20,000 ft² each) per area, ensuring suitable infrastructure
∎ Verify plot dimensions in accordance with lease agreements and contract‑grower land specifications
∎ Acquire raw paddy seeds from contract growers, maintaining moisture content at 14–15 %
∎ Maintain rigorous post‑use storage protocols for input materials—washing, cleaning, drying—and update the maintenance register accordingly
∎ Submit comprehensive monthly reports to the Farm Manager / Sr. Farm Manager, Hybrid Rice
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
∎ Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
