Responsibilities & Context:

1. Sales & Revenue Management

  • Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets

  • Monitor daily sales performance and analyze trends

  • Promote high-margin and fast-moving medicines and healthcare products

  • Introduce loyalty programs, discounts, and seasonal promotions


2. Inventory & Stock Control

  • Ensure optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking

  • Track expiry dates and manage near-expiry or dead stock

  • Coordinate timely procurement from distributors and manufacturers

  • Maintain accurate inventory using pharmacy management software


3. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control

  • Ensure compliance with drug laws, pharmacy regulations, and licensing requirements

  • Maintain proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cold chain)

  • Supervise handling of prescription and controlled medicines

  • Ensure accurate billing, labeling, and record keeping


4. Team Management & Training

  • Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacists, sales staff, and helpers

  • Assign duties and manage staff schedules

  • Train staff on product knowledge, customer service, and POS systems

  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback


5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure excellent customer service and patient counseling standards

  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally

  • Build long-term relationships with regular customers and clinics

  • Promote health awareness and wellness initiatives


6. Supplier & Vendor Coordination

  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and schemes with suppliers

  • Maintain strong relationships with distributors and manufacturers

  • Review supplier performance and delivery timelines


7. Digital & Technology Management

  • Oversee POS systems, billing software, and inventory tools

  • Implement online order processing and home delivery systems

  • Analyze sales data and generate reports

  • Ensure data security and system accuracy


8. Marketing & Business Development

  • Plan local marketing activities and in-store branding

  • Introduce new products and services (OTC, wellness, diagnostics)

  • Coordinate with doctors, clinics, and hospitals for referrals

  • Identify opportunities to expand customer base


9. Financial Control & Reporting

  • Monitor cash flow, credit sales, and collections

  • Control expenses and improve profitability

  • Prepare sales, stock, and performance reports for management

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting


10. Store Operations & Safety

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations

  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and professional store appearance

  • Implement SOPs for emergencies, recalls, and audits
