Job Context:
∎ To provide first-line medical assistance to students and staff.
∎ To be responsible for the delivery of assessment and treatment of minor illness and injuries.
∎ To deliver care within the boundaries of the role, focusing on student and employee well-being and health education
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contributing clinical expertise to patient care by providing first-line medical assistance to students and staff
∎ To prioritise health problems and intervening appropriately to complex, urgent or emergency situations, including the initiation of effective emergency care
∎ To provide accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of student consultation and drug administration consistent with legislation, policies and procedures
∎ Make sure the staff adheres to and follows all safety standards and healthcare regulations
∎ Reporting to senior management, as well as liaising between administrative and teaching staff on student’s health issues
∎ Ensuring consistent and accurate medical recordkeeping practices
∎ Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
∎ Managing allocated budgets and identifying areas of improvement in inpatient care
∎ To help to identify, create and evaluate all medical and student wellbeing policies, communicating with all staff involved. (Medical Conditions, Drug use etc)
∎ To ensure teaching and support staff have appropriate awareness and understanding of the common medical conditions in the school
∎ To coordinate all first aid staff training and maintenance of first aid equipment/stock
∎ To maintain and supply first aid boxes for school events, e.g. Visits, Sport Days
∎ To deliver all medical information and medical procedures to new staff members via the induction programme
∎ To share appropriate information on students during transition from Key stages
∎ To monitor and evaluate care interventions and provide monthly reports to top management
∎ Attend Weekly Briefing Meetings
∎ To coordinate all government led immunisation programme
∎ To monitor work area and practices to ensure they are safe and free from hazards and conform to health, safety and security legislation, policies and guidelines
∎ To take part in the school’s staff development programme by participating in arrangements for further training and professional development. To undertake mandatory and statutory training
∎ To manage, handle, and represent the School to parents, beneficiaires and or interested parties and make them feel welcome to the School
∎ To visit other OIS campuses on
∎ Taking initiatives and perform other assigned administrative, comparable, or transient duties, which are within the area of knowledge and skills required by this job role
∎ All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Ability to ensure the high standards in patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

∎ Up to date on recent medical practices and able to stay ahead of the curve

∎ Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honouring schedules, coordinating
