Education:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ 6 to 7 years of work experience in the Refinery/ Petrochemical or Power Plant.
∎ On-hand experience performing Mechanical measurements, troubleshooting techniques, performance test, and safety measure.
∎ Expertise in alignment, mechanical seals repair/replacement, valve repair/replacement, gaskets, and materials of pipes & valves.
∎ Proven ability to manage preventive maintenance schedules and compliance.
∎ Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to devise and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Administer mechanical corrective maintenance (CM) activities and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures.
∎ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, valves, etc., ensuring minimal downtime.
∎ Utilize expertise in alignment, mechanical seals repair/replacement, valve repair/replacement, gaskets, and materials of pipes & valves.
∎ Accountable for preventive maintenance (PM) activities, including witnessing inspections and testing on plant mechanical equipment.
∎ Manage and coordinate with Mechanical Maintenance supervisors/technicians to ensure compliance with PM work orders and procedures.
∎ Investigate and troubleshoot maintenance problems, implementing fault-finding routines and procedures.
∎ Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs in maintenance processes.
∎ Maintain records, files, and statements related to maintenance activities and administrative matters.
∎ Control spare parts stock levels to minimize idle money and raise material requests as needed to meet maintenance requirements.
∎ Ensure received materials' quality before clearing bills of materials and raise purchase requisitions for capital and consumable spares.
∎ Maintain a minimum level of spare parts to ensure plant availability and ensure adequate levels of consumable materials and spares in local stores.
∎ Lead by example to maintain and improve high safety standards in accordance with HSE procedures.
∎ Enroll in safety tours and submit observation cards related to HSE frequently.
∎ Raise Plant Equipment Modification (PEM) requests, collect and reconcile new equipment maintenance record data sheets for approval.
∎ Troubleshoot various process maintenance and operation problems, consulting with senior engineers and colleagues as required.
∎ Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by the Head of Maintenance Department.
∎ Bashundhara Oil and Gas Company Ltd., a subsidiary of Bashundhara Group, is looking for some competent candidates for the position of "Mechanical Engineer- Maintenance, BOGCL" for its Bitumen Plant in Keranigonj.
∎ Administer mechanical corrective maintenance (CM) activities and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures.
