Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and manage comprehensive sourcing policies that translate into higher profit margins and a competitive advantage.
∎ Establish strong relationships with internal business stakeholders; building a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements, and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories.
∎ Dive deep across multiple business units to leverage our supplier base to optimize performance, quality, and cost.
∎ Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking; leveraging key insights to inform and support the strategic sourcing strategy development process.
∎ Manage the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
∎ Identify sourcing opportunities by leveraging spend analysis tools and engage with stakeholders to consolidate requirements over categories, suppliers, and geographies.
∎ Work with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements, optimizing the return on investment and total cost of ownership.
∎ Guide internal stakeholders on procurement processes and best-practice tools, such as category management, supplier evaluation, and supplier diversity.
∎ Analyze and calculate procurement costs and develop cost-reduction strategies.
∎ Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.
∎ Conduct market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
∎ Estimate risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques, as well as negotiate contracts that comply with industry regulations.

∎ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
∎ Proficiency in using inventory management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
∎ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
∎ Knowledge of supply chain principles, production processes, and procurement strategies.
∎ Significant relevant strategic sourcing experience.
∎ In-depth experience in best-in-class procurement practices (category management, bench-marking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.
