∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Designing, Master of Science (MSc), Master of Science (MSc) in Fashion Designing
Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Drive the creative vision and set high standards for output across the product design team.
∎ Mentor, coach and provide problem-solving support to team members to foster professional growth and creativity.
∎ Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
∎ Translate customer insights into innovative product designs and bring them to market.
∎ Oversee the overall fabric development of the Design Studio, including knitting, dyeing, and finishing processes.
∎ Define and manage the processing route for each fabric, encompassing yarn requisition, knitting, dyeing, and finishing stages.
∎ Lead technical analysis to determine knitting parameters such as yarn count, stitch length, fabric design, diameter, and gauge to achieve desired fabric quality while optimizing production costs.
∎ Adjust finishing parameters and recipes to ensure the final fabric quality aligns with approved swatches.
∎ Collaborate with dyeing and finishing teams to ensure consistent quality during both the RFT (Right First Time) phase and bulk production.
∎ Develop product strategies that align with company goals and customer expectations.
∎ Work closely with designer and R&D teams to conceptualize and create product prototypes.
∎ Assess the appearance, hand feel, and physical properties of finished fabrics to ensure they meet quality standards.
∎ Maintain consistency in fabric quality throughout production cycles.
∎ Present new product ideas and growth opportunities to executives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
