Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Strategic Procurement Management:
∎ Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
∎ Supplier Relationship Management:
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreements and quality standards.
∎ Cost Optimization:
∎ Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.Ensure competitive pricing through tenders, negotiations, and vendor comparison.
∎ Procurement Operations:
∎ Manage purchase requisitions and orders in a timely and efficient manner.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in all procurement activities.Oversee inventory levels and ensure a seamless supply of required materials.
∎ Risk Management:
∎ Assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.Monitor market trends to anticipate price fluctuations or supply shortages.
∎ Team Leadership and Collaboration:
∎ Lead and train the procurement team to enhance productivity and efficiency.Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, finance) to understand and meet procurement needs.
∎ Reporting and Analysis:
∎ Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analyses and supplier evaluations.Use data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
