Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor and Master's degree in any discipline from a reputed university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Experience in Clearing & Forwarding (C&F) process especially in the areas of bulk commodities.
∎ Conduct Steveding activities of container and bulk vessel
∎ Handling shipping documents for Full Container Load (FCL), Loose Container Load (LCL) as well as bulk commodities.
∎ Prepare shipment agreements with the suppliers and other stakeholders where applicable for the bulk items.
∎ Negotiate with the vendors/agencies related to freight to complete the FOB contract.
∎ Freighter contract related to the bulk vessel.
∎ Prepare banking documentation related to import, opening LC, amendment of documents where needed, and insurance-related papers.
∎ Managing transportation/fleet/vehicles for carrying goods, prepare cost-effective route plans, and hire transport agencies to ensure the right product at the right place at right time.
∎ Search warehouse for storing goods, negotiate rent with the tenant, conduct necessary work to sign an agreement with the help of the legal team and manage warehouse efficiently.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Thorough work knowledge on import and export acts, as well as HS Codes.
∎ Experience in dealing with the appellate Department of Customs.
∎ Experience in dealing with the high court/ supreme court in deciding on the clearing process will be an added advantage.
∎ Should know about computer application program (MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
∎ Good oral and written communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ A self-motivated and proactive person who believes to take the lead.
∎ Willingness to roam to achieve business objectives.
∎ A person with an assertive approach and a good team player.
∎ Minimum 8 years of experience in the relevant industry, preferable in commodity section (e.g., Oil, Sugar, Rice Imports, Yellow Peas, Red Lentil, etc.).
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):Clearing & Forwarding (C&F), transpostation, logistics, warehouse management, documentation related to import, LC.
