Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Technical/Engineering
∎ BSC in Engineering with postgraduate diploma in Environment Science/ EMS/EHS
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Chemical Management, Environmental Compliance, Health Safety and Environment
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Manufacturing (Light Engineering & Heavy Industry), Manufacturing (FMCG)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Set organizational sustainability targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee delivery.
∎ Oversee daily activities of team members to maintain environmental management system (EMS).
∎ Investigate environmental incidents, develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans to ensure corporate sustainable development.
∎ Liaise with relevant bodies such as local authorities, public bodies and competent bodies.
∎ Educate industrial workers on environmental programs and policies.
∎ Develop and implement environmental management systems to continue improve the impact of the organization on the environment.
∎ Generate environmental reports, and ensure, maintain and / or renewable permits (valid environment license) as per state regulations.
∎ Closely work with team to develop effective environmental strategies to reduce contaminations environment issue.
∎ Oversee pollution control programs and develop waste treatment and recycling procedures as & where applicable.
∎ Develop, follow and enforce environmental policies and procedures.
∎ Perform environmental research and prepare research reports to management (write environmental reports, assuming lead responsibility in the company).
∎ Carry out impact assessments to identify, assess and management practices into operations, and reduce organization’s environmental risks and financial costs.
∎ Promote and raise awareness, at all levels of an organization, of the impact of emerging environmental issues.
∎ Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy, as applicable.
∎ Implement best practice in areas of corporate, ethical and social responsibility and address any issues arising.
∎ Preparation and implementation of different type of environment/EHS Policy/Compliance policy across the group.
∎ Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues, as and when applicable.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 32 years
∎ Experience of working with Red Category Manufacturing concern will get preference
∎ Sound knowledge on MS Office Management (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Knowledge of latest government environmental regulations/ policies
∎ Knowledge of Latest scientific proceedings in the field of environment science.
∎ Sound knowledge of Social/Environment Compliance/Environment Laws/Labor Laws
∎ Third Party Auditor Management (Quality, Health, Environment, Compliance)
