Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Strategic Planning & Optimization: Develop and implement distribution and logistics strategies aligned with business objectives. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the supply chain.
∎ Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage the logistics team, including warehouse supervisors, distribution coordinators, and transportation staff. Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance performance.
∎ Supply Chain Efficiency: Continuously assess and optimize supply chain networks, distribution routes, and transportation methods to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
∎ Inventory Management: Implement effective inventory control measures to maintain accurate stock levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory costs.
∎ Budget Management: Develop and oversee the logistics and distribution budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high service levels.
∎ Risk & Contingency Planning: Prepare contingency plans for potential disruptions in logistics operations and respond swiftly to unforeseen challenges.
∎ Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, and production teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of supply chain activities.
