Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for the school's facilities, including buildings, grounds, equipment and Teachers apartments
∎ Oversee the work of maintenance staff, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
∎ Plan, direct, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
∎ Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repairs of all facilities and equipment
∎ Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and ensure safety compliance
∎ Identify and prioritize maintenance needs based on input from school staff and other stakeholders
∎ Maintain and repair the school's pool heating, pool plant room, generators room, sub - station, water pumps, gas, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
∎ Conduct regular safety inspections of all facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations
∎ All the circuit breakers stations should be checked on a daily basis and to be kept cleaned and hazard free
∎ All the fire extinguisher visually inspect, sign and date each extinguisher tag should be checked on a weekly basis
∎ Kitchen equipments, exhaust hood and fire extinguisher system - professionally inspected/tested/maintained frequently
∎ Fire alarm system, fire hydrant system and public address system to be checked on a weekly basis
∎ Test fire fighters telephones by communicating through the system as per schedule basis
∎ System connected smoke detector to be tested on a site by smoke as per schedule basis
∎ Visual inspect entire building with security team member
∎ Conduct a full or partial evacuation drill on three (03) months basis
∎ Conduct a fire drill training program on monthly basis for fire brigade team members and new employees an emergency procedures and firefighting equipment
∎ Look after all the maintenance work of Teachers' apartments as and when necessary
∎
∎ Administrative Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures
∎ Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely repairs and maintenance of all facilities
∎ Develop and manage the maintenance budget for maintenance activities, including equipment and supply purchases; and ensuring that all expenditures are within budget and authorized
∎ Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all equipment, tools, and supplies used in maintenance activities
∎ Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment maintenance logs
∎ Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations
∎ Develop and maintain positive relationships with school staff, students, and teachers, as well as with external contractors and vendors
∎ Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the successful completion of all maintenance projects
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 45 years
∎ Proven experience of 2 years as a maintenance manager or similar role
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
∎ Excellent leadership and organizational skills
∎ Knowledge of maintenance and repair practices for buildings and equipment
∎ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
∎ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
∎ Proficiency in computer applications related to maintenance management
∎ Experience working in an international school or similar educational environment is a plus
