• A good camera, either built-in or external

• Good lighting for clear visibility on video calls

• A solid-coloured background free of pictures, clutter, or distractions (for example, sitting against a plain wall or hanging a one-colour cloth or backdrop)

• Professional attire — a black shirt, T-shirt with a collar, or blouse.

Responsibilities & Context:

Lugotara Language Services LLC, a US-based remote interpretation company, is hiring Korean–English interpreters to serve clients across the United States and Canada. This is a freelance and fully work-from-home role where you connect clients with professional interpretation virtually. We welcome candidates with strong Korean and English skills, and we provide comprehensive training and study resources. No prior interpreting experience is required if your language skills are strong.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate over-the-phone (OPI) and video remote interpretation (VRI) between Korean and English

• Interpret conversations in healthcare, business, and general community settings

• Convey meaning faithfully, completely, and impartially without adding, omitting, or changing content

• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow professional interpreter ethics and protocols

• Stay logged in and available during agreed hours to receive incoming calls

• Maintain a quiet, professional environment and a reliable setup during working sessions

Compensation:

• Attractive per-minute pay for connected call time,

• Paid in a regular cycle in US Dollars.
