• Candidates must be Masters and Honours degree in Information Science and Library Management from any recognized University.

• PhD Degree will be preferred.

• Age at most 45 years

• Having minimum 15 years work experience of which at least 5 years experience as Deputy Librarian in ay recognized University.

• Outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

• Managing budgeting, Planning and employees activates.

• Be responsible for developing a library and information resources center supporting teaching, independent research and learning in the University.

• Ensuring that library services meet the needs of users.

• Developing IT facilities in the library.

• Maintain library records and ensure it is updated.

• Promoting the library’s resources to users.

• Must have knowledge on KOHA LMS, Greenstone & DSpace.
