Responsibilities & Context

• Collect blood, urine, and other bodily fluids from patients according to established procedures.
• Prepare specimens for analysis by centrifuging, aliquoting, and labeling.Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of specimens.Perform a wide range of laboratory testsOperate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.Monitor and document quality control data.
• Participate in proficiency testing programs.
• Analyze laboratory results and interpret findings.Verify and validate test results before releasing them to healthcare providers.
• Prepare and generate accurate and timely laboratory reports.Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and the environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace
• Comply with all relevant regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to healthcare providers regarding laboratory tests and results.
