Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare yearly budget with Farm Manager, Hybrid Rice, yearly action plan and ensure the implementation of the program
∎ Ensure on time seeding and produced robust seedlings
∎ Assist TA, Hybrid Rice to select suitable rice seed production block and supply quality inputs according to demand and ensuring the utilization
∎ Ensure transplanting within 7 to 10 days and ensure planting quality
∎ Ensure farmers training before transplanting, GA3 application and randomly check 10% plot
∎ Monitor proper GA3 application, supplementary pollination activities and others ongoing activities
∎ Ensure staff development through meeting, coaching, counseling, feedback, mentoring
∎ Ensure 100 % rouging and check the threshing floor and its quality
∎ Prepare a schedule for seed harvesting, threshing and drying
∎ Identify problems and give the solution and inform it to the Farm Manager by written
∎ Ensure process loss maximum 2 % of produced seeds
∎ Check the seeds sample before weighting to avoiding admixture
∎ Ensure production of minimum 98 % genetic purity, diseases and black spot free seeds
∎ Update all documents according to supplied register and format on time
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
∎ Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
