Job Responsibilities:
∎ Procurement Coordination: Assist in coordinating purchase activities for electrical and mechanical items, including receiving and reviewing purchase requisitions, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining procurement records and documentation.
∎ Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
∎ Purchase Order Processing: Generate purchase orders accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and follow up with vendors to expedite delivery and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
∎ Inventory Management: Support the monitoring and control of inventory levels, including tracking stock levels, initiating reordering processes, and maintaining accurate inventory records to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
∎ Market Research: Conduct research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate market trends, and source new products or services that align with the organization's purchase needs and objectives.
∎ Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase records, prepare regular reports on purchase activities, and provide data analysis to assist in decision-making and cost optimization efforts.
∎ Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the purchase process. Conduct quality checks on received goods to ensure they meet specified standards.
∎ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the Finance & Accounts department, Project Management department, and Store (Warehouse) personnel, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of purchase activities.
∎ Local Market Purchasing: Exploring the local market to acquire the items requisitioned. Ensuring product is received from the supplier, and deliver the products to the factory.
∎ Factory Visit: Ensure that the products ordered by the factory are being utilized, strategize ways in which new electrical and mechanical items can be brought in to improve productivity, reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 26 years
∎ Candidates with work experience in Maintenance/Purchase (Procurement) will be preferred.
∎ The candidate must be proficient in Internet browsing & online work ability, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
∎ Strong organizational and time management skills.
∎ The candidate must be clean and fluent in both Bengali and English communication.
