Job Summary: Nizam Hasina Foundation - A Service Delivery Point (SDP) seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Junior Counselor/Assistant Counselor at the Nizam Hasina Foundation. As a Junior Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to patients throughout their journey at our esteemed institution. From initial consultation to post-operative care, you will be instrumental in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
We are currently looking for energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic person for the following position.
Major Responsibilities
Management of Patient Counseling:
Welcome patients warmly and review the prescriptions provided by doctors to offer essential explanations of the prescribed treatment.
Educate patients on modern treatment methods and the importance of adhering to prescribed medications.
Provide information on daily eye care activities, including advice on lighting arrangements and safety measures.
Admission and Surgery Counseling
Greet patients and their guardians advised for surgery, reviewing their medical records to understand the disease and surgical needs.
Address any questions regarding the disease, surgery types, procedures, outcomes, and costs.
Discuss modern treatment and surgical methods, highlighting our surgeons' expertise and the hospital's facilities to support decision-making for surgery.
Guide patients through the investigation process upon receiving surgery consent.
Post-Operative Counseling
Offer a warm welcome to patients returning for follow-up visits, providing necessary post-operative treatment guidance.
Support patients with follow-up examinations and consultations, emphasizing the importance of
regular check-ups
Advise on post-operative care, medication use, and precautions as recommended by doctors
Support in Departmental Activities and Reporting:
Assist in planning and maintaining a monthly/yearly calendar for smooth departmental operations
Document and track daily patient flow, preparing and submitting monthly reports
Manage patients' medical records and coordinate effectively with patients and team members.
